OPEN TO ANY RESIDENT OF NEW MEXICO

Wednesday, October 8, 2014- 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Art Department open for entries.

Thursday, October 9, 2014- 10:00 AM
Judging

Sunday, October 12, 2014- 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Pick up all entries, ribbons and prizes.
Rules
Only original work, not copied from any source, accepted.
No work previously shown at SWNM State Fair or over three years old.

Entry size: 40” at greatest dimension, including frame.

The Art Department reserves the right to reject any work it considers below standard or in
any way objectionable.

ALL ADULT entries must be dry, framed and wired. Attach wire 1/3 down the side of the
frame and cut to peak 2” below the top of the frame.

HIGH SCHOOL entries must be FRAMED or MATTED, SHRINK WRAPPED AND READY
TO HANG.

CHILDEN’S ENTRIES: Mount work on construction paper or on equally firm backing. Do
not add string or wire. Place name, address, phone number and grade on back of entry. No
pre-school work LARGER than 11”x17”.

Each exhibitor is responsible for delivery and pick up of entries and awards. Do not disturb
or remove ribbons or entries before 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday


Entry Fees
For Adults - $2.00 per entry
For High School Division - $1.00 for up to two entries
Children’s Division - .50 for up to two entries

Awards

1st through 3rd place ribbons may be given in each Class section as merited by the quality of the exhibits.
The judging will be on merit and the Judge’s decision is final.

Best of Show - $50.00
Peoples Choice - $25.00
Best in Division Awards- $25.00- Adults and High School

Class-Section Awards - In each of the adult and high school classes
1st – $5.00 2nd – $3.00 3rd – $1.00

Children's awards
In Preschool and First through 5th:
1st – $3.00 2nd – $2.00 3rd – $1.00

6th, 7th, and 8th grades:
1st – $5.00 2nd – $3.00 3rd – $1.00
